It becomes a plasma after being miscible with butane, and is easily soluble in water. The solubility in water is 35.9g (room temperature). NaCl dispersed in alcohol can form a colloid, its solubility in water is reduced by the presence of hydrogen chloride, and almost insoluble in concentrated hydrochloric acid. Application

When electrolyzing an aqueous solution of sodium chloride, hydrogen and chlorine gas are generated. Chlorine gas is widely used in chemical industry and can be used to synthesize polyvinyl chloride, insecticides, hydrochloric acid, etc.
It is used for salting in the food industry and fishery. It can also be used as a raw material for seasoning and refined table salt.
