Jason Manford said his house smelled like hot cat poop-after he built a toilet in the kitchen cabinet, his two moggies didn't consider floor heating.

The comedian made a confession after talking about life with his two ragdoll cats, and he welcomed them to his home in November last year.

After 40-year-old Jason was tired of putting the litter box in the kitchen, he commissioned a joiner to build the cat’s private toilet.

But the blow of the genius afterwards backfired.

Jason said: "We found a joiner to put the garbage tray in the cupboard so you can't see it, so there is no such horrible plastic thing in the corner. This is the cat's small toilet.

"But I didn't realize that we had underfloor heating and garbage trays. It was basically just boiled cat feces.

"When I came down in the morning, I smelled it and said,'Oh, that's cooked cat shit.' It just bubbling there."

In an interview with the My Mate Bought A Toaster podcast, Jason also explained that he hired a housekeeper to help keep the house tidy.

But he said he and his wife Lucy made a rule, which meant that the helpers they hired would not touch his children's bedroom-which made them very scared.

Jason continued: "I have a cleaner, well, I would even say she is a housekeeper, really. I am very luxurious now.

But we have a rule in this house, that is, if she doesn't tidy up the children's bedrooms, she is not allowed to enter there.

"My children became insane,'Dad why? Why do we have to tidy up our rooms and you don't have to tidy up?'

"I said,'I have made the bed for 30 years, so you need to make the bed for 30 years, and then when you are old, you can have a cleaner.'

"You can't let a child be unable to make his own bed. This is unacceptable."
