Comment-Someone once told me that one of Murphy's laws states that the value of a carpet is directly proportional to the likelihood of a cat vomiting on it. My cat is a vomiting machine, but I love her anyway. Her veterinarian recommends eating small and frequent meals throughout the day, which is where PetLibro's automatic pet feeder in the granary comes into play.

PetLibro's Granary Automatic Pet Feeder is a programmable system for small animals that can dispense up to six servings per day.

The packaging is mainly cardboard. Given that the feeder is made of sturdy plastic, it should have adequate protection. I like to store accessories and parts in food crates for transportation to reduce waste.

After opening the package, the feeder can be assembled in a few minutes without tools. The fit and finish are great!

Below the fuselage of the feeder is a battery compartment, which contains three D-type batteries, which can be used as backup batteries when the power supply is interrupted. I am very relieved to know that if I am not there, if the power supply to my house is cut off, my kitten will not go hungry.

The power adapter is USB-C.

Insert the battery, plug in the power adapter, a white 7-segment LED lights up, prompting me to set the clock.

Programming is very simple, step by step in increments of hours, 10 minutes, and 1 minute. On such devices, it is not uncommon for the clock and programming settings to have only one button to advance the settings. This is not the case with Petlibro – the + and – buttons mean that even if you exceed the expected settings, you don’t need to access the correct settings again. OK.

Next, I programmed all 6 feeding times. Starting at midnight, I add the least allocated food every 4 hours.

Three liters of dry food can be added to the hopper of the feeder, but it is important that the size is not too large.

There is a small window to check the food level, but it is a bit small when you see dark food in the black feeder.

Based on my cat’s age and size, Petlibro will feed my cat 1.5 ounces of food, about ½ cup per day. I tested and measured the amount of food, and I am happy to report that the amount is the same every day. It must be more consistent than when I scooped coarse food out of the bag.

For me, the biggest feature of this feeder is to eat less frequently. My previous feeder distributes food every six hours, but the portions are larger. Like many cats, my cat tends to gobble up the meal as quickly as possible, which makes her stomach upset and leads to the inevitable vomit clearance. I hope that eating smaller meals (every four hours) will reduce the amount of tissues my family consumes and make cats happier and healthier.

If a kitten or puppy needs a little food supplement, the manual feeding button will dispense a little food every time it is pressed. I don't use it often, but it's great there.

The bowl is stainless steel and can be easily disassembled for cleaning without lifting or turning the feeder. This is a big advantage of other automatic feeders.

The dish rack is also detachable.

The hopper can be removed for cleaning. When on the feeder, if the feeder is tipped over by your rough puppy or curious kitten, it will lock in place to prevent overflow.

Below the lock cover is a desiccant bag to prevent food from becoming moldy.

Button operation will be automatically locked to prevent accidental feeding or messing up the time or programming menu, and to prevent children who are obsessed with buttons.

Petlibro Grainary also has an interesting recording function. You can record up to 30 seconds of messages, making your fur baby a meal time. The recording can be programmed to be up to 5 times per feeding or completely switched off. The speaker is not particularly loud, but it works and may be a fun way to adjust your kittens or puppies to appear when they are called.

The Petlibro Grainary automatic pet feeder is the perfect distribution system for my cat. The part is accurate and consistent, and I hope it helps alleviate the uncomfortable belly of my furry friend and the experience of "Aisle 6 cleanup" in my home. Good job, Petrie Bro!
