We got Gizmo by default. One of our son’s high school teachers needed to find a home for some kittens. Of course, our son knew Mom would want one!

We then went through so many names it was funny; Nattie-Gizmo, Guillermo, Gizzy, and my husband’s favorite, Cup-cake because of the white on his belly.

Gizmo stuck. He was the biggest baby of all. He was large because of all the hair, but a real scaredy-cat. His favorite thing to do in the summer was to drink water from the fountain we have out back.

We’ve had some really great cats, Fluffy the best chipmunk catcher of all, Mae Liang our sweet female Siamese, and now Sabaai, another Siamese. But Gizmo was the sweetest most loveable cat ever.

We miss him all the time.
